Sandi's "Granny" is Now in Glory
Maggie Lucille was 86 when the Lord took her. We praise God that Granny died a faithful Christian. What I remember about Granny is her love to secretly help the poor, her frugal life style, and her ability to take abundant care of her extended family. Almost all our savings is due to Granny's selfless giving. While in seminary it was not uncommon to receive an unexpected check from her to help us in our financial difficulties. Sandi will fly back into Trujillo on Thursday morning. God has given me some wonderful time to spend with the girls. However, I do miss her and wish I could be there with her at the funeral. Please consider praying for us in the following manner:
2. Family Comfort. Please pray that God would strengthened the Beasley family as they all come together for the visitation tonight. The good news is that Granny is with Jesus and that Sandi has a strong Christian family. They can find lasting comfort in their resurrected Savior, who has already taken away the sting of death!
3. Us Left Behind. I too deeply loved Granny and wish I could be with Sandi at the funeral. When I'm alone, I get sad and lonely. So please pray for me and the girls that we too would comfort one another in Christ during our separation. Thankfully, we have a great missionary family here that has been taking care of us, keeping us busy so we will not have many down times. It just occurred to me that I have to bath the girls and get them ready for Sunday church tomorrow. I don't even know how to fix their hair!
Thank you very much for praying for us. I can tell when you pray and when you don't pray for us. It is by your prayers that God carries us along in the strength of His might!
