May Update

God continues to bless our fund raising efforts. We are now up to 57% of our needed support.

We spent the weekend on the road visiting churches in north Mississippi and Memphis. It was refreshing to worship at Christ Presbyterian Church (Oxford, MS) in the morning and Riveroaks Reformed Presbyterian Church (Germantown, TN) in the evening.

Abigail and Adeline have really enjoyed touring all the nurseries. They are thinking about co-authoring a book for toddlers but they can’t decide on a title. Here’s some ideas they are bouncing around: “How to Make the Most out of Your Nursery Experience” or “A Guide to Southern Babies in Southern Nurseries” or “101 Ways to Escape the Kinderzimmer” or “What to do when there is no Playground.” They’ve tested out all the modern playgrounds and they favor the old classic equipment.

One of the best “playgrounds” was the Mississippi Gulf Coast. As Adeline ate sand and Abigail built sandcastles, Allen spoke to the hospitable congregation of First Pres Gulfport.

Our next trip is to General Assembly in Chattanooga, TN. So we have three weeks to rest before then!
