Mary Allen turns 7 months old

Here are some recent pictures of our youngest little lady, Mary Allen, now 7 months old. She is getting bigger and showing us more of her personality. She is so sweet and so much fun and we are so thankful for her. Her new favorite pass time is laughing at her big sisters and saying "da, da, da", which her father claims is her first word . . . "daddy".

THANK YOU Twin Lakes!!

For over a year and from both sides of the equator, Matt and Allen have been planning for the first Twin Lakes Camp in Peru. It was such a blessing to see it finally come to life and bear fruit this past week. Many children had a week they will never forget and many heard and understood the gospel for the first time.

Thank you to the 27 Twin Lakes staff that came down to run the camp. Thank you for showing the love of Christ to over 100 children from our target neighborhoods, a group of local orphans and our missionary kids.

Thank you to the 30+ Peruvian church members that joined the Twin Lakes staff to translate, help with the activities and make our U.S. friends feel welcome in Peru.

Thank you for giving the missionary kids (and their parents) a really fun week!

And thank you to all the individuals and churches who prayed and financially supported the camp! This week could not have happened without you!

Day 3 - Twin Lakes Camp in Peru

This week of camp continues to be a mutual blessing for everyone involved! The camp is changing locations everyday so that we can try out different camp sites. Today, we had a really large swimming pool with a great view of the mountains.

We also have had the privilege of hosting a group of children (pictured below) from a local orphanage that our mission is connected with. They have been a delight!

Day 2 -Twin Lakes Camp

Another wonderful day of camp was had by all!. They enjoyed swimming, games, sports, and great music and singing. The gospel message was presented in both a small group setting and in the large assembly.

Pastor Nasekos spoke about Jesus being the bread of life and told the story of Jesus feeding the 5,000. He illustrated this with actual fish and bread.

Mary Allen is also enjoying camp this week.

Twin Lakes Camp in Peru - Day 1

Wow, what a day! The Lord provided beautiful weather, excited kids, and an energetic and loving camp staff for our first day of camp. There were about 115 children including 90 from our parishes, 10 from the orphanage in town and our missionary kids. They enjoyed horses, "super-fun games", archery, ice cream, inflatable slides (which some of the adults enjoyed too:-), great music, clowns and a wonderful gospel message from Pastor Paul Nasekos. His talk was about Jesus the good shepherd, he even had a live sheep to assist him!

Even after a long hot day of fun in the sun with over 100 kids, the Twin Lakes staff still had energy to go the the Pacific Ocean and play some! For more pictures of today's fun, go here.
